A. DIGITAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
Ara is presently looking for a long-term volunteer to help expand the organization's digital presence. The tasks shall include:
(a) Write for multiple platforms that include blogs, promotional material, website copy, articles and interviews, as well as develop content for the organization’s social media accounts;
(b) Adopt innovative and creative strategies to expand the organization’s social media presence;
(c) Assist the team to document and report on its program activities using a variety of formats, including electronic, audio, video, website, and other digital platforms;
(d) Meet/interview refugees and their stakeholders to collect relevant information and generate material for the organization’s digital platforms; and
(e) Such other activities which are required to meet Ara’s digital media strategy for 2018.
CRITERIA FOR RECRUITMENT
(a) Degree in Media and Communication or related field; Experience with photography, videography and design software will be an advantage.
(b) Excellent command over written and spoken English.
(c) Ability to work under supervision in a team.
(d) Willingness to travel within New Delhi.
(a) The successful candidate will be expected to start on 15 January 2018.
(b) The contract will be for 6 months, till 30 June 2018.

(d) A monthly stipend will be paid to cover expenses such as travel, food etc. (subject to visa requirements)

B. VOLUNTEER CASEWORKER
Ara is presently looking for both short-term and long-term volunteer for assisting the legal team with case work. The tasks shall include:
(a) Assisting with client intake sessions, conducting intake interviews and providing legal counselling.
(b) Conducting research on clients’ countries of origin, relevant case law and legal provisions.
(c) Drafting client testimonies and legal submissions.
(d) Conducting research for reports/projects on issues related to protection.
(e) Maintaining office databases and drafting office correspondence.
CRITERIA FOR RECRUITMENT
(a) Recent graduates or students of Law or International Relations.
(b) Willingness to work 35-40 hours a week for a period of 1-6 months in New Delhi.
(c) Willingness to travel within New Delhi.
(d) Preference will be given to those with experience working with refugees/migrants/IDPs or other vulnerable clients.
